Lake Norman Fun!

Here's a few shots from our trip to North Carolina. We had a great time on Lake Norman. We rented a house and boat on the lake and spent a week there with Toms sister Sue and her family. With the exception of our first few days there the weather was great, hot during the day and cool enough for a little fire and s'mores at night. Paige did really well on the 10 hour drive. We had a few rough times but overall she wasn't too bad. Jordan helped keep her occupied in the back seat along with the DVD player and The Backyardigans. She loved the boat. It was all she could talk about everyday. Tom also took her for a ride on the jet ski Todd rented. She loved it. She was standing up smiling and laughing as she drove around in circles. Jordan was a fish. He wanted to swim from morning to night. He also had fun boating and tubing. He followed his cousin Jeremy and his friend Ben around where ever they went. We visited a local skate shop while we were there and Jordan scored himself a new skateboard as his souvenir. Tom enjoyed skiing, tubing and just plain boating everyday. We also visited Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte and all the guys went for a ride along with the Petty driving experience. They got to ride 3 laps around the track at over 125mph. They loved it! I enjoyed boating, tubing and just plain relaxing in the sun. I also found my favorite store from Michigan, Maurices. Its a clothing store from my home town that we don't have here in Florida. I only get to shop there when we visit Michigan so of course I had to visit when i saw it. We all had a great time and can't wait to go back. It was so nice to boat on the fresh water and not worry about sharks or alligators. The view from the house and back porch were so nice to enjoy every day.
